Albany, NY – OrthoNY welcomes fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon Alec Grossman, DO, to its growing hip and knee replacement team. Dr. Grossman brings a patient-centered approach focused on restoring mobility and getting people back to the activities they love, strengthening the joint replacement services available to patients across the Capital Region.

Dr. Grossman’s clinical focus spans both routine and complex hip and knee reconstruction, including revision joint replacement and care for patients dealing with post-traumatic arthritis, periprosthetic joint infections, and periprosthetic fractures. He performs total hip replacement through the direct anterior approach and uses robotic-assisted technology for total knee arthroplasty, pairing advanced surgical technique with a treatment plan built around each patient’s goals.

He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at LECOM Health in Erie, Pennsylvania, followed by an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Boston University Medical Center, where he received advanced training in complex hip and knee reconstruction. Dr. Grossman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Dr. Grossman will see patients at the Albany, Delmar, Malta, and Schenectady offices of OrthoNY, expanding access to advanced hip and knee care throughout the Capital Region.
