Our Roots in the Capital Region
OrthoNY was formed in 2013 through the merger of Northeast Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Associates of Saratoga. In 2014, Schenectady Regional Orthopedic Associates joined OrthoNY. Through the years, these physicians worked together and recognized a shared respect and trust between their practices. This led to collaboration and discussion on how they could come together to better serve their patients in the Capital Region and North Country of New York State. By uniting these practices, we brought decades of trusted care and local expertise under one name. Today, OrthoNY continues that legacy by delivering a complete model of orthopedic care rooted in collaboration and designed to exceed expectations. With offices across the Capital Region, advanced imaging centers, and strong hospital affiliations, we combine the convenience of a private practice with the resources of a comprehensive medical system.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes OrthoNY unique compared to other orthopedic groups?
OrthoNY stands apart for its ability to combine convenience, advanced technology, and personalized care under one practice. With multiple locations across the Capital Region, patients have access to same-day appointments, on-site X-ray at all orthopedic clinics, and four dedicated MRI centers for advanced diagnostics. Care extends beyond the clinic through integrated physical therapy, pain management, and our accredited outpatient surgery centers, where board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeons perform procedures in a safe, efficient setting with faster recovery than hospitals. Strong hospital affiliations provide access to inpatient surgical suites when needed, while patients still benefit from the personalized attention of a private practice.
Where are the OrthoNY offices located?
OrthoNY makes it easy to access care with offices across the Capital Region, including Albany, Clifton Park, Malta, Schenectady, Glens Falls, Delmar, and Saratoga Springs. Patients can choose the location that best fits their needs and schedule, ensuring expert orthopedic care is always close to home. With this extensive footprint, OrthoNY has created a network that covers nearly every corner of the Capital Region, allowing patients to receive high-quality orthopedic care close to home while staying connected to the same trusted providers across visits.
Does OrthoNY provide advanced imaging like MRI?
Yes. OrthoNY imaging centers provide a full suite of diagnostic services designed specifically for orthopedic conditions. Patients have access to MRI, CT, EMG, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and digital X-rays, all performed with advanced technology to capture clear, accurate images of bones, joints, and soft tissues.
Our technologists are trained in orthopedic imaging protocols, and every study is interpreted by board-certified radiologists with musculoskeletal expertise. Results are shared directly with your OrthoNY care team, ensuring seamless coordination for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Services include orthopedic MRI scans, digital X-rays, ultrasound for muscles and ligaments, pre-surgical imaging for joint replacements, and follow-up imaging to track recovery progress. With flexible scheduling, extended hours, and minimal wait times, our centers make it easy to fit scans into your routine while receiving fast, reliable results.
How do hospital affiliations benefit patients?
The strong affiliations OrthoNY has with regional hospitals ensure that patients receive quality care across both outpatient and inpatient settings. Affiliations include St. Peter’s Health Partners, Ellis Hospital, Saratoga Hospital, and Glens Falls Hospital, which provide advanced surgical suites. These partnerships offer patients more extensive postoperative monitoring and care when needed, such as double joint replacements and complex spine procedures, completed in a hospital setting.
Can I get all aspects of my treatment in one location?
Yes. OrthoNY is built as a comprehensive care network, where your providers, imaging, physical therapy, and surgical care are connected under one system. This means fewer hand-offs between offices, clearer communication among your care team, and a smoother journey from diagnosis to recovery. By keeping everything coordinated, we make it easier for patients to focus on healing with confidence.
