About Dr. Whalen
Dr. John Whalen is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in spine and neck care, with particular expertise in disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine. He performs advanced procedures including cervical disc replacement surgery.
Dr. Whalen earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic residency at Albany Medical Center and went on to complete a spine fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Whalen serves as the Section Chief of Orthopedics at Samaritan Hospital. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and continues to provide comprehensive care in both general orthopedics and spinal disorders.
