About Dr. Alfandre
Dr. James Alfandre is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with advanced training in sports medicine. He provides comprehensive orthopedic care and has expertise in arthroscopic treatment of knee and shoulder disorders.
Raised in Westchester County, Dr. Alfandre earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany in 1990 and received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse in 1994. He completed his internship and residency in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1999, followed by a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation in Columbus, Georgia.
Dr. Alfandre maintains a broad orthopedic practice with a focus on sports medicine. He has served as a team physician for various athletic organizations and holds active membership in the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. His specialized training includes the use of arthroscopy for managing common conditions of the knee and shoulder.
