Went for a surgical consult for knee replacement and he was very forthcoming as to what to expect. He has a great sense of humor ( that’s important to me), spent as much time as I needed for questions. Many surgeons barely give you a chance to absorb the information before they get up and leave!

Really like Dr. Bowman…takes the time to answer my questions & explains everything. Office is a little hard to reach…many tries or you have to leave a VM & wait for a call back…which doesn’t always happen quickly!

Dr. Bowman is the most knowledgeable, caring and attentive doctor. He is wonderful!

Dr Bowman has done two reverse shoulder replacements on me, one three years ago, one this year. This reviews this year’s surgery. I’m delighted with both results. My surgery was initially scheduled for mid-February. I travel to get to this practice; they’re in the Capital District, I’m in the Poughkeepsie area, so you can imagine that the call that came the morning of surgery saying “Dr Bowman is not operating today” was, at best, unwelcome (in his defense, he was sick that day; having a sick surgeon cutting into one is not an ideal scenario). I’d stayed overnight in a hotel to accommodate the early-morning thing that surgeons, for whatever godforsaken reason, love to do. The practice, though, made that right with no argument; they quite promptly comped my hotel bill, which is all I needed them to do. We seamlessly rescheduled the surgery and I made the trek north again. Same hotel, no canceling phone call; the surgery went as planned. Recovery has gone as planned. I’m delighted with my new shoulder. It’s still a little sore as I write this 6 weeks post-op, but range of motion is superb and the time is soon coming to start the strengthening of the deltoid (don’t tell Dr Bowman, but I’ve been working on strengthening my deltoid since about Day 2 post-op). The surgery center does need to update its policy on letting people into the warm waiting room on cold mornings. I get that they need to get their computers up and running and get ready behind the desk for the day, but leaving people who are dressed lightly for surgery outside in the pouring March rain/sleet/snow mix until the secretaries get their act together made this patient feel VERY unwelcome and uncomfortable. It was cold. It was wet. My soon-to-be-replaced shoulder hurt. It was freaking early in the morning. I promise that I will leave you alone if you let me in to just sit in the warmth to wait for you to get your morning act together. Cleanliness, surgical process, all that were fine at the surgery center; just let your patients in out of the c-c-c-cold.

Dr Bowman is consistently the best! Very supportive, knowledgeable and helpful. I’m hoping I’m back on both legs soon.

Dr. Bowman is a terrific dr., stress free visit and he gives a cortisone shot with almost zero pain.

Dr Bowman has been my orthopedic doctor for over 15 years. After having a full knee replacement in 2025, I have just had my 1-year anniversary check up with Dr Bowman. I was a little anxious about my appointment but after having an x-ray and talking to Dr Bowman he assured me that everything was 100%. I am thrilled with the outcome of my full knee replacement.
