About Dr. Buttaci
A fellowship-trained Physiatrist, Dr. Buttaci’s specialty is disorders of the spine, focusing on musculoskeletal medicine, including fluoroscopically guided spine injections. He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and interventional pain management.
Dr. Buttaci joined Northeast Orthopedics (now OrthoNY) in July 2007 and is a fellowship trained Physiatrist, Board Certified in both physical medicine and rehabilitation and interventional pain management. His primary interest is diagnosing and treating disorders of the spine.
Dr. Buttaci graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s of Science in physical therapy. He practiced as a licensed physical therapist at Boston Medical Center and New England Baptist Hospital prior to attending medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at UMDNJ/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Prior to joining Northeast Orthopedics, Dr. Buttaci completed an accredited fellowship in interventional spine and pain management through Sinai Hospital of Baltimore/Orthopedic and Spine Specialists. Dr. Buttaci’s practice focuses on musculoskeletal medicine, including fluoroscopically guided spine injections.
