About Dr. Sahoo
Dr. Sahoo is a board‑certified anesthesiologist and fellowship‑trained pain management specialist with extensive experience in interventional pain medicine. She provides comprehensive, patient‑centered care for acute and chronic pain conditions, offering advanced, minimally invasive treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs.
Before joining OrthoNY, Dr. Sahoo served as a partner at Capital Region Pain Management beginning in 2011. She previously practiced at Advanced Interventional Pain Management in Clifton, New Jersey, where she helped introduce ultrasound into pain management procedures and restructured EMR templates to improve clinical efficiency.
Dr. Sahoo completed her fellowship in Pain Medicine through the prestigious Tri‑Institutional Program at Weill Cornell, NewYork‑Presbyterian, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Hospital for Special Surgery. She completed her residency in Clinical Anesthesiology at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and began her medical training with an Internal Medicine internship at Summa Health Systems, where she earned recognition as “Teaching Intern of the Year.”
She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri–Kansas City’s combined BA/MD program, where she was active in multiple leadership roles, including with the American Medical Student Association and the American Medical Women’s Association.
Dr. Sahoo is a longstanding member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Interventional Pain Management, the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
