About Karen
Karen L. Bertasso, PA-C, earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Union College in 2006. She went on to receive her Master of Medical Sciences from Boston University School of Medicine in 2007 and completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in 2010.
Karen is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She previously practiced as a Physician Assistant in neurosurgery at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado, and later gained specialized experience in orthopedic spine surgery at Albany Medical Center. Prior to joining OrthoNY, Karen practiced orthopedic surgery at the Albany Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center and St. Peter’s Hospital, where she gained extensive experience in total joint replacement, fracture care, inpatient rounding, and emergency department consultations.
Karen works with Dr. Abraham in both the office and operating room, providing comprehensive orthopedic care.
