Dr. John T. Whalen is a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic residency at Albany Medical Center followed by a one year spine fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

Dr. Whalen is board certified in orthopedic surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. His expertise includes general orthopedics and disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine. He is also trained in artificial disc replacement surgery.
