OrthoNY Expanding Orthopaedic Urgent Care

Walk-in bone and joint services to be available weekday afternoons
(ALBANY, NY) – Starting Monday, June 30, OrthoNY will offer expanded orthopaedic urgent care at 121 Everett Road. The Albany location will be open Monday through Friday, 1 pm until 8 pm, with no appointment necessary. Please note – the last patient check-in is 15 minutes prior to the posted closing.

Patients with sudden bone and joint issues will be seen in a new Urgent Care suite, staffed by a full-time physician assistant. Additional OrthoNY physicians and medical professionals will continue to provide care as needed.

Orthopaedic urgent care is efficient and cost-effective, eliminating the need for emergency room visits to treat common injuries. When acute care needs are bone and joint specific, OrthoNY is an optimal choice for treating sprains, strains, minor fractures and sports injuries. The urgent care is provided by orthopaedic specialists and supported by onsite radiology services.

“We recognize that many bone and joint issues are sudden and unexpected,” said Alan Okun, CEO of OrthoNY. “Since introducing orthopaedic urgent care in April 2013, we have seen an average of 20 to 30 patients each weekday night in our Albany and Malta locations.”

“Clearly, there is an ongoing need for walk-in orthopaedic care. We are happy to expand our services so injuries can be treated as quickly as possible, getting people back to work, school and life. It’s one of the ways we can keep Saving Lifestyles.”

In addition to the Albany location, OrthoNY Urgent Care is also available in the Malta Medical Arts Building at 2388 Route 9, just south of Route 67, off Exit 12 of the Northway. Malta’s walk-in hours are Monday through Friday, 5 pm to 8 pm and Saturdays from 9am to Noon.
